Brief History of the Church

     The Country View Baptist Church was started in 1973 as a mission work and was organized in July of 1978 as an Independent Baptist Church. The church has had only two pastors in its thirty-eight years of ministry.
      Bro. Bynum came to be the pastor of the church in 1981, and has continued his ministry for the 30 years.
     Today the church is located one-and-one-half miles north of Ulysses, Kansas. We are in the country and have a wonderful view of our town and surrounding area. It is our desire as a church to be a habitation of God through the Spirit.

A Church With a View

The Country View Baptist Church is excited about being involved in the service of the Lord in Ulysses, Kansas. We are an Independent, Fundamental, Bible-believing, Baptist Church. Our goal is to help people see that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. He is the only source of truth that leads us through life. His life is the only solid spiritual foundation to build on. The Word of God is our only rule of faith and practice.
